Since 1993 when KWI signed an academic exchange agreement with the Research Center for Women's Studies at Yanbian University (Nov. 1993) and the Center for Women's Studies, Peking University (Dec. 1993) in China, it has had faculty/researcher exchange programs, exchange of information and materials, and other collaborative academic conferences and seminars. Visiting scholars from China audit lectures in Women's Studies and other related lectures as well as conduct their own research at Ewha Womans University. From 2004, KWI is planning to send faculty/researchers to Yanbian University so as to disseminate academic results of Women's Studies at Ewha Womans University as well as educating/training faculty members in Wome's Studies of Yanbian University. This overseas faculty exchange program is supported by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia.
PARK He-Ran, a researcher of KWI was invited as a visiting professor by Yanbian University in China, July 1993 to April 1994.
