Description
Asian Journal of Women's Studies (AJWS), an academic journal, is published by the Asian Center for Women's Studies (ACWS) and Ewha Womans University Press. Published first in 1995 as an annual issue, since 1997 the AJWS is being brought out as a quarterly. It is an interdisciplinary journal, publishing articles pertaining to women's issues from a feminist perspective.
The journal offers articles with a theoretical focus, country reports providing valuable information on specific subjects and countries, research notes, and book reviews containing information on recent publications on women in Asia and elsewhere. AJWS is sponsored by Ewha Womans University and The Korea Research Foundation.
AJWS aims to share and disseminate information and scholarly ideas about women's issues in Asia and all over the world, with the view to develop women's studies in Asia and expand the horizon of western centered women's studies.

The journal is covered by the following Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) products: Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Current Contents: Social & Behavioral Sciences. It is also covered by Soft Line Information in its full text database Gender Watch of ProQuest Company and is indexed by Alternative Press Index, Iowa Guide, and Feminist Periodicals.
